Thank you to everyone who shared insights and quotes for my talk on Sunday. It all came together very nicely and several people told me that the message was just what they needed to hear. So thank you again to those who emailed, left comments on Facebook, or commented on here. (even though blogger was on the fritz and erased your comments, I still got them in my email : ) Your thoughts helped me frame it all up and it was nice to have so many great perspectives.
Several people have asked for a copy of my talk so I put my notes together with a copy of my slides and made a link to it below. Congrats Becca! From the look of the slides it seems like the talk was great. This is a subject that so many can benefit from, especially the youth. Way to go...funny how the Lord puts us in specific places for specific reasons. He knows better than we do.
Becca great job! I love all the examples and "real life" experiences from friends. I always feel like those are what strengthen me is when I know people just like me share the same insecurities and struggles. It's nice to hear the way they handle them and how I can also learn to be strengthened by them rather than brought down by them. I'm totally saving this talk! A Truly inspired talk and I know the youth were strengthened by your testimony!
