On to the afternoon:
Load Brinley from teacher's car to my car. Throw some cheese sticks at the kids and head to Wal-mart.

Cam falls asleep in the car. sweet little guy.
Cheese sticks weren't enough. Girls want to go to "old McDonald's"
Chicken nuggets are semi-nutritious right?

The delicious aroma of french fries almost tempts me to indulge, but I'm armed with a Larabar, take that old McDonalds!
We get to Wal-mart and it's pouring rain. I REALLY don't want to drag all three kids out in the rain to run in and pick up my photo cards that are already paid for. Not worth 15 minutes of loading and unloading for a 4 minute errand. Are a 5 and almost 3 year old big enough to leave alone in the car for 4 minutes?
I decide they are.
Cam and I brave the rain to go get our picture cards.
All that work for 4 little pictures. I hope our mom's love their cards!
We finally get back home. Brinley wants to in through the front door instead of the garage. I say fine, just don't step in the puddle. um, yeah...
Takes 10 minutes to finally get her in the house. Puddles distracted her, sidewalk chalk distracted her. She is easily distracted.
Chalk hand. Thank goodness for soap and wipies.

Teya walks in the house to discover that Monty has chewed up her stuffed puppy. If you're thinking about getting a pet, look at those sad eyes and think long and hard before you do it. They can be little devils sometimes.
"Mom I have to go potty!" Nice! She's starting to tell me now!
Teya seems to have cheered up now that she's riding her bike around the house. Yep, I let my kid ride her bike in the house. I choose my battles ok?
Time to feed little Cam. He will only nurse in a quiet room these days. little stinker!

What were the girls up to while I fed the babe?
Coloring for Teya

And cutting for Brinley.
She wanted to try out her new scissor skills she worked on in preschool (don't worry, those are safety scissors)

2pm a realtor shows up with a client for a house showing. blah!
Take the kids to the family room to get out of the way
And we spend an hour watching the Biggest Loser together. Teya loves that show and gets so mad if I delete it from the DVR before she's watched it.

Cam is sick of the Biggest Loser and wants to take a nap.
Night night Cam.

Brinley saw me taking pics with Cam and wanted me to take some with her. She's so fun.
Lunch, finally. Mommy is always the last the eat.

Barely finish eating and Brinley says, "Mom I need to go poo poo"
"Do you need to go or did you already go? (I think I know the answer)
"um, I already go, but mom! I telled you! Are you happy?"
*sigh* potty training.

Leave Teya and Cam with PBS kids to take care of Brinley.
While in the bathroom I'm reminded I need to do this. Boo!

Check on Teya and Cam, still doing good.
3:45, back up arrives! Introducing my "mother's helper" I pay her to come on Wednesday afternoons to play with the kids so I can be productive and stuff.
Oops!...couldn't resist : )
Back on track. Cam helps me fold laundry while the girls play with Ali.

afternoon snack. Good thing I buy these in bulk.

Put Cam down and check on the girls. They're making mother's day cards with Ali. So sweet.

More laundry
And since I have back up I decide to take a minute and sew the button on Taber's pants that he's been asking me to do for the last 3 weeks. I'm such a good wife. ; )

More snackies. Told you I was an almond junkie.

Girls show me their cards, they're so proud of them

Cam wakes up mad.

Super mad

Spend over 30 minutes rocking and trying to soothe him. Poor guy.
Cam is calm, back to laundry

2nd load I've folded today! Mother's helpers rule!
Almost dinner time! Shoot, didn't plan anything. Um...how bout pancakes?
Next up: dinner, bedtime insanity, and evening routine. Sorry if I'm boring you to death but I think it will be really fun to have this to look back on someday : )

So funny Becca!
I need to do this!
Dude, you are not boring me to death at all! I love these kind of posts...you are inspiring me to do some of my own...
The poopy pants picture of Brinley is hysterical. Only because I can totally relate right now!
A mother's helper?? I will have to add that on my "must have" list.
And how nice is it to have the guys home at the end of the day? Love that time!
Your pictures are great, you are looking so good! Jealous! :)
Love dat pic of Brinley post poop...she cracks me up. There is always something with kids...keeps parents on our toes. Tell those kids uncle Tau says hi and sends big bear hugs :)
Brinley is so funny. Poop picture and also the silly faces picture. She totally is your little clone. What a busy day you had and it hasn't even come to an end. I have been inspired to eat better because of you. I would have made myself a tray of chocolate chip cookies around nap time if I had a day like yours and then I would have indulged myself with a little E! heehee. This is such a cute idea
Such an awesome post! I was seriously cracking up. Priceless pictures! You are just super-mom.
Boring...I think not, I'm exhausted reading this! I need to do this too!
THis really has been a favorite "Becca Post" this was really good to read that yep..We are all running around with our heads cut off just trying to be good mom's/wives!! Love the Boo! at the end of your laundry pic--Story of my life!! And yes the Brinley picture post-poop had me in tears!!! Happy Mother's Day to a great Mom!!!xoxo
I love this, Becca! Can't wait for bedtime insanity. This should be good! I'm so glad you are doing this if only to give people without kids a good idea of what stay at moms do all day.
I should do this...it will be nice to look back on someday when I have "empty nest" and remember how crazy life once was!
Reading through your day reminds me of when I had three at home all day... Those were the crazy, hyper, busy, frantic, exciting, spinning, moving, exhausting, happy days. I'm glad you're recording this for the future. Maybe one day we'll miss it? ;)
Sounds about right! Got a good laugh from the pic of you holding cam while he's screaming. Sorry, your face is too funny! Love how you showed the good and the bad, definitely how it is even though it doesn't always come through that way in blog posts!
I know I already said this, but I just love these posts. You could post every day, and it would be my favorite thing to read I think.
Pancakes for dinner is a favorite around here.
