I wasn't ready for this.
I was in denial for awhile.
Teya slept in a crib till she was 2 1/2!
I just assumed Brinley would do the same.
But she has a big sister,
And she wants to do everything big sister does.
Including sleeping in a big girl bed.
It's been a week now, and she's been sleeping in there every night.
It's amazing, she stays in there all night
and doesn't get out till I come to get her.
This milestone made me a lot sadder than I thought it would,
Especially when I put the crib away.
I guess that's the way things go.
But I'm still calling her my baby. ; )

So cute! I think I'm going to feel the same about Lilly. It's nice to have a baby around!
That is so crazy she is sleeping in a big girl bed! There is no way I am goin to let Miley even try that for a while! Brins is so sweet. I love how she wants to do everything Teya does. Maybe there will be another little baby soon to have around. ;)
We switched Caleb over to a big boy bed around the same time. His transition went smoothly as well. Maybe we discovered the secret age of switching over to a bed without a problem. I am not sure I am willing to test my theory out on Asher.
It does make them look so big! But yeah, she is still a a baby. And a GOOD baby, she stays in there, nice!
Kade was the same way, he wanted a big boy bed just like his brothers. My other boys were only in the crib until just after their first birthdays though, they learned to climb out way too early! And you are right, you can still call her your baby, I still do with Kade and he's 2 1/2!
Oh, my goodness! I cannot believe how grown-up she acts! I think I treat Henry too much like a baby, just because I have the pair of boys, pair of girls, and then him on the end by himself. I don't think there's any way he'd stay in a big bed. I am so amazed!
how old is she again? Perhaps I should try this with Kyla soon. I waited till the boys turned 3 and I think thats a lil too long. hmmm....
I seriously thought that it was Teya when I first looked because what 18 month old sleeps in a toddler bed? Apparently super Brinley does! How cute!
What??? Noooooo.... she is so tiny :) How is she doing- is she staying in there? I guess we switched Cal at 22 months, not too much difference. But, still!
Brinley looks so tiny, even in a toddler bed... soo cute!! They grow up so fast! Each one a little faster I think.
Becca, this made me want to cry! I was at the Plymouth Dome on Wednesday and I was thinking about how we went together all the time last winter. And Brinley was in a Baby Bjorn!!! I was thinking, man, William is younger than Brins was at the time but it would literally break my back if I tried to wear him in a Baby Bjorn. And I was also thinking how much I miss Baby Brinley. But the good news is she's growing up to be such a CUTE toddler!!
You'll always call her your baby. Darren and I had that conversation just yesterday. I told him I'll always call him my baby, even though he's currently 12. He didn't seem to mind. But don't worry, it just means it's time for HER to become a big sister now! Maybe another "baby" is due. wink wink
