I was really impressed reading that and thought I could use a little dose of that attitude. Right now is the perfect time in my life to be able to sit back and ENJOY. I don't have a lot of commitments or know many people yet so I can really just dig into my life at home and enjoy every part of it. We're not in a hurry to be anywhere or do anything, so instead of rushing my kids from one activity to the next, we're just trying to enjoy each job, chore, game, story, and moment that comes into our day. Here are a few of the simple things that highlighted our week. ENJOY!

Enjoying
I recently read the blog of a friend whose new year resolutions all revolve around the word ENJOY. Instead of focusing on things she doesn't have or isn't, she is going to focus on enjoying all the things that make her life beautiful. Her son, her hobbies, her role as a homemaker, etc..
I was really impressed reading that and thought I could use a little dose of that attitude. Right now is the perfect time in my life to be able to sit back and ENJOY. Here are a few of the simple things that highlighted our week. ENJOY!
We pulled out an old ball pit that the girls haven't seen for almost a year. Now that Brinley is big enough to play in it the two of them went wild!
I was actually going to give this away because Teya didn't play with it much before. Guess having a little playmate makes it much more fun!
On Wednesday we woke up to find our driveway covered in heavy soggy snow. Normally I would've dreaded shoveling that long steep monster, but I decided it needed to be done, and we were going to enjoy it!
Teya loved being the big helper and even Brinley was putting her back into it. I love how she's squatting down and digging in in the last picture.
And last night I decided to make my normal chore of cooking a little more enjoyable by doing a kid friendly meal the girls could help with. We made homemade pizza and they were SO into it! I need to get them their own little aprons and make cooking together more routine!
Then it was time for the cheese! Brinley took several hands full but I don't think any of it made it onto the pizza ; )

Wow! After reading this I am excited to get off the computer and enjoy my day with Noa. Thanks for the pick me up. Love ya
It looks like you are having fun and enjoying yourself! That's great...I love the pictures of the girls in the ball pit and of them cooking. I can never get over how cute they are. You are an awesome mom.
What a great way of looking at life...I needs me some more Enjoyment! Also, I am totally jealous of the amount of counter space your new kitchen has!
Looks like you guys are making some great memories! The pizza looks super yummy! I'm so glad you guys are making some friends, I can only image how hard it must be with your two little kiddos. Before you know it you'll have your days filled with friends and fun! You guys are awesome and we miss you a ton!
You are very sweet. Love that you are enjoying.
Can't wait til my life gets a little more simple like that pretty soon here! I have really enjoyed working for JetBlue, but it will be so nice when my day doesn't end at 4 p.m. 4 days a week!
I cannot believe you shoveled that driveway! Dang, don't know if pizza was the same day but you could've eaten about 5 after that!
And about the beach thing, seriously... that is not okay you guys haven't been in so long! You gotta go. I guess now you will be a lot closer! And JetBlue has sales out of Boston or JFK a lot to get down to the Caribbean pretty cheap so keep your eye out!
Dude! The whole time I was reading your post, Brooklyn was freaking out with excitement. She loved the ball pit, she loved the snowy driveway, and she LOVED the pizza! She just told me she wants to make pizza too! It is the simple things in life that should really make us happy. I'm glad you are finding enjoyment in all that you do! Good job Becs!
P.S. Brooklyn is now jumping up and down and chanting "I LOVE TEYA! I LOVE TEYA!!!"
Cute! What a great idea to make it a point to enjoy all the simple things this year. It's so easy to just feel monotonous about our days as mothers...but like me, I look back on my one year old boy's life and I think WHERE DID THE TIME GO? I definitely think it's simple (free) moments like those that make such wonderful memories for kids and for us as mommies. Good post:)
I like the enjoy theme - I can always use a good reminder to just enjoy the fun moments with my kids instead of stressing. I love all the pics - your girls' static hair is the best! And they are the cutest, most cheerful little snow-shovelers/pizza makers I've ever seen.
See, I need to be better. I am trying- and enjoying was similar to my "become more laid back" resolution. It is just so hard for me to relax. Urrr...
I love the ball pit by the way!
Oh and thanks for your comment on my blog- I 100% agree!
So can you give us a picture tour of your house?! Looks beautiful!
Thanks for this reminder that the simple things are the most meaningful!
