Weekend Visitors

For the past three weeks our guest bedroom has pretty much had a revolving door! First Taber's parent's and my dad, then my little sister Naomi, and just this past weekend my youngest sister Liz. It's been awesome having family in town because as I've said before, it makes us get out and do things we normally wouldn't do.

On Saturday night Taber graciously offered to be on kid duty so Liz and I could have a girls night out. We hit the Mall of America and played a round of mini-golf. We were behind a big group of people that was really slow, so we spent our down time taking goofy pictures. Liz is 8 years younger than me and definitely brings out my younger silly side. We were laughing so hard with our lame poses, we even changed outfits at one point. I totally kicked her trash on the golf course, but she definitely kicked mine in the "modeling" department!

On Monday night Taber's boss hooked us up with some sweet tickets to an NHL Hockey game. When we told Teya we were going to a hockey game she kind of got confused. She likes to put a "Y" at the end of words, like cold-y and snack-y etc... So when we told her we were going to see a hockey game she said, "Oh! I like see the squirrel and the hawk-ys and the birdies!" It was pretty funny. At the game though she really got into it. She was leaning over the edge and yelling to the players "come on guys! it's okay, get the ball!"

Teya was too hyper to be in this picture

Teya got to meet Nordy the Mascot and as you can tell from her face, was pretty thrilled.
Besides having a great weekend with Liz, we also had another fun surprise visitor pop in! Taber's best friend since 2nd grade was going on a business trip Saturday and had a 3 hour layover in Minneapolis! We were so excited we drove down to the airport, picked him up, and took him over to the Mall of America for dinner and roller coasters! If anyone ever has a layover in Minneapolis, call us!! the Mall of America is right by the airport and it sure beats sitting in a terminal eating peanuts!

So this morning I took Liz back to the airport and although it was tons of fun having all our visitors, we're pretty excited to have our house back and to get back into a normal routine! Thanks again to everyone who came out! We love you guys!

Dang you and the Mall of America...lol...just kidding I had to say it. You, my dear, have been super busy with all these guests lately. That is so great! I am entirely jealous because no one comes to visit me...waaaa! (Yes I'm whining...) But really this isn't about me. I am happy that you have been able to get out and do so much exploring in MN I am sure it is helping you transition so much easier :)

Hockey games are a blast! Visitors are great to have...it's bittersweet to get back to reality. Can't wait to see pics of pumpkin carving!
We put Anna's coat on her today, she said "I wear it to Teya's house!" Might be a LONG way to wear it to Teya's house today.

So many visitors at your house! That has been fun I'm sure. Dave was loving the pictures of Taber and Nate.

How fun! I love your hair - you're beautiful as always!

I'm laughing, because I read this post first, and then scrolled down and saw your Halloween costumes, and realized why your hair looks so cool (all the braids, right?).

I want to come visit so we can go to the Mall of America with you. That place looks awesome.
