About 6 months ago Teya started making up words and one of them was Twilley. We have no idea where it came from and we had no idea what it meant until she started cupping her hands and petting her "twilley"
Through Teya's vivid imagination Twilleys have now become common place in our household. By observing Teya and her Twilleys we have learned that they are furry, can fly and are very small. Most recently she likes to throw them at our faces so they can cover our eyes. We get a kick out of watching her interact with these imaginary friends and play along by petting the twilleys, catching them in the air, and keeping them for her in our pockets.
Here's a little video of Twilleys in action. We went back to the apple farm this weekend and while we were there Teya suddenly lost interest in her surroundings and started chasing Twilleys.

Man, she's so cute. Such a little Becca!
P.S. There was a psycho guy on the Bachelorette named Twilley!
I love the Twilley video! She is so funny- what a great little personality!
She is so cute! I love it when she say "I gotta get some more" and then runs off with this huge smile on her face! :) I love their little imaginations at this age. ADORABLE!
OH. MY. GOSH! I love that video! It makes me want to go look for Twilleys.
My word that's cute! I'm so glad you caught it on tape.
Every once in a while our family is joined by Ethan's "little people" that must come with us every where, be buckled up in seat belts, and eat dinner and snacks with us. I have no idea where they came from as they magically appeared before he watched the borrowers or that PBS show about the tiny boy.
That is soooo stinkin' cute! We miss little Teya (and you too!)!
So cute! How funny, how kids make up imaginary friends huh? My niece has one...she says his name is "Randy Friendship." Random huh? But too funny:)
I love it! What are some of her other made up words? Too cute! I think it's awesome that you have that on video. That will be great in the future for her to watch - (or possibly good insight for her therapist.. hee hee j/k)!!
That was so hilarious. I just loved the triumphant music with the twilley hunt. You guys are so funny. What a cool little video!
that was the cutest video ever...twilleys sound like cool little creatures. :) i love it when my kids use their imagination when they play. it was so fun to watch teya using hers and being so excited about her imaginary friends. oh and i loved the music playing in the background. :)
Thanks for sharing that video...it is adorable. I can't believe how big Teya is now. And baby Brinley couldn't be any cuter. We miss you guys. Playing Settler's just isn't the same.
So cute! She'll be so happy you caught her chasing Twilleys on video when she's older!
Nicole, I'm dying lauging about your therapist comment! Too funny! As far as other words she makes up, her top three are Twilley, Twix, and Twinkie (and she's never had a real twix or a twinkie, to her, both are imaginary creatures) It's funny because at bedtime she'll ask me to change the words to a song and replace them with her made up words. Like the itsy bitsy spider is now the itsy bitsy Twix. She is a funny girl!
love it: i cant wait to go play with her again:
that's awesome! love it.
