Grilling weather is here and Taber is loving it.
I am too of course, less cooking for me!!
The other day he brought home some trout that a guy from work gave him.
How can an Alaska boy say no to fresh fish?
He grilled it up and the biggest surprise of the night- Teya (her royal pickiness) LOVED it!
She ate an entire fish and asked for more.
She wasn't even grossed out by the head and dead fishy eyeballs
(can't say the same for myself)
Like Father like Daughter I guess!

Mmm. I love food off the grill and fish. So grilled fish is wonderful. (We actually grilled salmon last week!).
Looks great...if the eyeballs were gone it would look wonderful!
Oh man, grilling season is awesome. It's a great way to eat healthy and is by far my favorite way to cook (or have the hubby cook :) I love the fish, Teya is braver than I am, fish heads freak me out!!
Holy COW! She really ate it looking like that? I don't think I could eat it if it still looked like a fish! That is amazing! Cool that Taber does that and you get a break from cooking. Cute pics too :)

Makenzie is the same way! She will watch her dad or grandpa catch a fish, see it flop around everywhere, and grandpa cooks it whole like that and she can't wait to dig in! She even saw grandpa eat the eyeballs (yep), and she just said "ew!" and kept on chowing.
Anyway, kinda funny because I grilled fish (yes, I actually grilled) for dinner tonight. I am not a fish eater, but mahi mahi marinated in maple syrup (I used the real stuff but it would probably work w/ the other), cajun seasoning and a little garlic powder is DIVINE! The grilled flavor w/ that marinade is so dang good and it doesn't taste like fish at all! You guys should try it!

So jealous that you can grill, and have a nice big ol' deck to do it on! Just another thing to add to the list of "When we don't live in an apartment anymore, we will..." :) Can't believe Teya loved the fish! Awesome!
I love the picture of Teya and Taber eating the fish. I can't believe she loved it. I would have been crying if I had to eat that and then I would have puked (not because it was gross, I bet it tasted amazing, it's just a mind thing with me). I bet Taber loves that his girls like fish. So cute. That food looked so good on the grill. We are having a bbq for Tau tomorrow for his bday. I don't know if it will be as good as your meat, but it should be fun. Love ya
Wow, grilling, a trampoline, and green grass. I think your backyard is the place to be this summer.
