This weekend we got the best early Christmas present ever! A visit from my sister Naomi and her little family. Even though she is 7 months pregnant they made the effort to drive all the way out from Chicago for a short but fun packed 3 day trip. It meant so much to us to have them come out, and it really made it feel like Christmas.

When they got here first on the agenda was a visit to Taber's work. Kevin had never seen it so we brought all the kids along and took the big tour.

It was awesome when we got to the Snacks division where Taber works. The Snacks team loaded us up with fruit snacks, Bugles, Chex mix, dunk-a-roo's and other good treats! We even got to sample a new product in the works. It was yummy yummy!

We also got to hit our Church Christmas party (see first picture) and once the kids were in bed we played games and ate goodies late into the night.
The next morning since Kevin is Kevin and the king or running nuts, he somehow convinced Taber and I to brave the cold weather and join him for a nice 4 mile run around Rice Lake. It was actually really beautiful and an awesome way to start our day!

Once we got back we loaded up the kids for a trip to a Christmas tree farm that had a petting zoo and a playground with a zip cord.

The girls were fascinated with the chickens, goats, and random peacocks.

They also loved the playground, even though it was 20 degrees outside and covered with snow.

The boys really loved the playground too.

In fact, I think they might've loved it more than the kids! They went on that zip cord over and over again. Their arms were pretty sore the next day :)

Teya was so thrilled to be out in the snow. She begs me to go out in it just about everyday so it was nice to be able to indulge her request.

That night we got a babysitter and headed out to the Mall of America. We ate dinner, did some last minute Christmas shopping, and watched the Blind Side, which was AWESOME and a movie I highly recommend to anyone!

This morning they joined us for church and the girls all wore matching Christmas dresses. They are the cutest little munchkins. It will be fun when Naomi's baby is born and we have FOUR little girls running around!

It was sad to see them go but we are so glad they made the effort to come out. Their visit definitely made for one awesome early Christmas present!

So much fun! The pics of the girls in their dresses and on the playground are adorable!
An awesome surprise.
How fun! You are so awesome to go out in the cold. I DO NOT like the cold and the snow, so I think I would have been a party pooper.
Great pictures! I love the pic of the girls on the log. And I love those dresses, a girl in my ward actually had her daughters in the same matching dresses today. They're gorgeous. Glad you guys had a fun time! We wish all of you guys lived out here, dang it!
I loved all the pictures! Its so cool to see all the girls together. I'd love to get a sweet pic of them w/ Maile and Malia....and Naomi's baby. That would be so cool! Glad Naomi got some good family time :)
Hooray for early Christmas presents!!! Seriously guys, that was the best weekend EVER! Thank you SO much for letting us come crash your party. We love you all and will miss you desperately when you head out to Boston...but no worries...we'll somehow manage to randomly drive out there and visit you again! Thanks again for EVERYTHING!
Yup! That weekend rocked!! Those 3 little girls are pretty dang cute too. My favorite part of the trip was getting to see those 3 little girls play together and have so much fun. The amount that Brooklyn learned from being with an older cousin in just 2 days is amazing! I love it!
My second favorite part was, thanks to Taber, getting to leave Minneapolis with a box or two of General Mills Fruit Snacks to keep me company at my desk at work.
My third favorite was falling asleep for a nap on the couch and waking up to Teya using me as a pillow while she watched TV
My fourth favorite was getting a really good babysitter and going on a double date with my wife to a sweet movie!
My fifth favorite... I could of course, go on!
Becca,
My favorite picture is the one with the girls on a log in their snow suits. It's so cute it could be a postcard! I also like seeing the Dad's having such a good time at the playground too. They deserve to have some fun after all they do to support their sweet little families. It made me so happy to know that my girls who are far from family in Utah could spend a wonderful few days together.
Hugs and Kisses to All!

Oh it looks like you guys had so much fun. I love the picture of the girls on the teeter totter and the one of Teya throwing snow. They look like they came from a GAP ad. Also it was fun to see Kevin and Taber acting like little boys. Who knew they could be so kooky. Wish I could've been there
What fun! I know how important your family is to you, and what a treat to get some fun time together like that. The little girls are just ADORABLE!! I love their matching dresses and big smiles always.
