During the day we planned fun activities for the kids, museum visits, kid friendly food joints, apple picking, etc... Then at night, Taber would stay with the kids and we'd go out for ladies night fun! We managed to fit in a couple late night movies at the theater, hit up some great restaurants for appetizers and dessert, enjoy haircuts and manicures at the spa, and get in some good shopping! The whole week was extremely theraputic and I can't thank BOTH of our husbands enough for making it possible! Here are some of the highlights of our week together.
MOTHERS BY DAY:
And now on to our week! We took the kiddos to the Minnesota Children's museum on Wednesday. They played so hard that on the drive home all three of them spontaneously burst into tears and wailed all the way home. It was so crazy and funny at the same time, all we could do was laugh. When we put the kids down for naps we attempted to learn the Beyonce Single ladies dance. haha! yeah...
We met up with our friends, Cameron and Wendy and their cute little lady bug, Miley.
On Monday we went to our favorite apple farm for apple picking, fresh apple donuts and cider. Some of the apple's had frost damage from the snow earlier in the week, but most of them were still good and we got a pretty decent loot.
SISTA'S BY NIGHT!
One of the best parts about going out later was that we weren't battling any crowds at the restaurants or theaters. On Tuesday night we saw My Sister's Keeper at the dollar movie and had the whole theater to ourselves. It was like our own private viewing and we definitely got a little hyper ; )
On Wednesday night we hit a big sale at Kohl's and stayed there till they closed at 10pm, then we went over to the Theater to see the 10:30pm showing of Fame. Once again we had the whole theater to ourselves and took advantage of the chance to stand up and dance to the music, boo and cheer out loud, yell at the characters, and just act like nerds. I know I'm getting older but hanging out at night with my sister made me realize that I'm not THAT old and that I can still go out and get a little crazy. Here are some pics of us in the empty theaters, we couldn't resist ; )
Friday we had a spa day and Sarah cut 8 inches off her hair. With our new matching hairdos we got dolled up to go to Biaggi's for appetizers and dessert.
It was funny to see people react to how much we look a like. The guy pouring our water looked at me and smiled, then he looked at Sarah and did a double take to look back at me and said, "okay, I'm confused now." Then our waiter asked us if we were twins. We said, "No, just sisters." And then he said, "Oh, so are you the same age?" We were laughing pretty hard at that one.Later in the trip we went to Redstone, my favorite restaurant for fondue, and we also stayed up a couple of the nights to play Pounce and watch some chick flicks at home. By the end of the week I was definitely tired from all the late nights! But it was soooo worth it to feel so girly and to have such great bonding time with my sis. : )

Yea! I love sista time!
Looks like so much fun...you deserve it!
Holy Cow! You guys do look like twins with the same Do! WOW! You both look so hot and beautiful too. I don't know if I could look like that even if I tried...which I never do. Oh well. Looks like so much fun and I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that someday, I'll be the lucky and LAST remaining Uda sister to get to spend time with Becca in her far away home. :) I think it would be fun, although I wouldn't know since I've NEVER been to any of your homes outside of the state before.
You girls look beautiful and totally look like twins! That guys comment just cracked me up! haha! I was out the other day and a lady asked how far apart my boys are and i said 6 minutes, and she could't stop laughing...she didn't believe me that they were twins! ANyways, glad you girls had a good time and got some pampering in. MAJOR brownie points for Taber, what a guy!
I am glad you had such a fun week for your sister...makes me miss my sisters!
Sorry about *slightly* cutting off Taber's head in that group shot...I am disappointed that you didn't put in the picture with the man walking in front of it though... :)
You guys are so dang HOT and you really do look so much alike with your matching hairdos and tops...by the way, I love that black top. I want one. :) Do they have more?
Sad that your sister is gone, but hopefully you are getting some rest and getting back to a routine. If you need to take TABER out for a night, let us know and we will totally baby-sit so you can reward him for all of those nights where he let you guys go out.
OK...long enough comment for ya? Sorry. :)
HOW FUN!!
You guys are so cute, I love it :)
Awesome post - I love how you divided it up into Mommy stuff and sister stuff - your "Mother's by day, Sista's by night" theme is so great. All the pictures of the activities with the kids are, of course, adorable - I can't get over Brinley in her little princess get-up. Why is it that everything she does cracks me up? And my girls would be majorly jealous of Teya's mermaid outfit.
You and your sister, though! Wow! Is it impossible for you to not look gorgeous and stylish in everything you do? I love how the one guy asked if you were the same age (after hearing that you weren't twins, but were sisters). Ha! Also, I love the posing in the empty theater! Acting silly with sisters is the best.
Funny how you two look like "women" now...I mean, as a brother, I guess you are always little sisters or "girls" to me!
Okay I am up wayyy too late and could not stop laughing during this post... the water guy at the restaurant saying "Ok I'm confused now" had me cracking up for a while. You guys SERIOUSLY look identical with your hair and matching shirts, holy cow. So cool you guys got to do that! Love the movie theatre pics! :)
It's not 1:15 like my time stamp says, it's 12:15, ok? ;)
Looks like fun! I, too, enjoy sista time. One of the greatest parts about moving back to TN was that we get to have sista time again...I am definitely going to steal some of your fun ideas and get the ball rolling for some good times of our own...although the Peterson women aren't nearly as photogenic!
How fun! Looks like you guys had a blast! You and Sarah look GREAT! Seriously...no fair...And your hair cuts are so cute and stylish!! Can some of your stylish-ness rub off on me please!?! haha. I love your matching shirts, sooo cute. You are both gorgeous! I'd never guess you both had babies!! Btw, I totally love the kid's costumes. I especially love Brinley's little princess outfit...she looks like a doll! Glad you guys had so much fun...makes me miss my sister:0(
Yay for sisters! Thanks again for showing me such a wonderful time. Best vacay ever! Also tell Taber thanks. He definitely rocks. Is it lazy if I just post a link to this post on my blog? :) You put things so much better than I do. ha ha j/k I'll get to work on my blogging "journal" Love ya!
looks super fun. You guys really do look like twins it's scary
So fun!!! I am super jealous! I remember the pre-children days when you guys would do this back in CA and go to Kohls and practically buy a new wardrobe because you got such a discount from Taber working there. ;) Glad you got a break from being a mommy and enjoyed yourself!
