Dating

I think it goes without saying that Taber is hot. And well, not to brag or anything but he totally asked me out last week! What can I say? I'm a lucky girl; ) We hang out quite a bit (marriage kind of has that effect on people) but when he sees me, it's in the morning when I first wake up, bed head, morning breath, no makeup, blah! Or in the evening with frazzled mommy hair, kid food, fingerprints and drool all over my clothes, certainly not looking my finest. So yeah, dates are always a good time to remind him (and myself) that I actually DO have other clothes besides my workout pants and t-shirts and that we are not only a great mommy/daddy team, we are a great couple!

He took me to a Twins game, tickets courtesy of his boss who is always so generous to hook us up. We doubled with our friends Cameron and Wendy and had a great time chatting, laughing, and being couples. We've gone to a few games before with the girls but the game looks a lot different when you're trying to entertain a 3 year old and keep a 1 year old from putting every scary germ infested thing from the bleachers into her mouth. (special thanks to my dear friend/life saver/angel of a neighbor Kara, who watched the girls for us even though she is due with her baby next week! Thank you for making our date night possible!)

We had great seats (thanks again to Taber's boss) finally made it to the 7th inning stretch,(never done that with the kids) and the Twins won! I would definitely say our date night was a huge success.

Extra bonus: The boys even treated the ladies to some ice cream (well, they gave us their wallets and told us to go get some) Good enough for me!!

hahaha still laughing about the "treated us to ice cream/gave us their wallets and told us to go get some" part... love it.
I feel ya on the importance of date night and feeling somewhat attractive every once in a while! But seriously Becca, you couldn't look bad if you tried. And don't get all humble, you know it's true! :)
That looks like such a fun date! And I really love that shirt too. Cute cute cute

How many times did you call to check on the girls while you were away?

Unrelated question, you can email me or whatever, don't have to answer here! What do you and Taber do about your toenails as runners? I mean, too long and they kill your feet, cut them too short before a long run, equally painful for me...Any best practices? hints? do's or dont's?

Thanks again for the fun date! I could go for some of that ice cream again right now (even though it is only 8:15 in the morning...ha ha!). Date nights are the best...it is so nice to feel like a couple sometimes, and not a mom and a dad constantly frazzled.

Aaw, how fun! Gaylon and I finally got out last friday to a movie w/ some friends! It's been MONTHS!! We took Tristan w/ us and Chenoa got to spend time w/ her grandparents. What a fun time! Definitely fun to spend time together and have some "real" conversation! haha:)

Those are fabulous seats! I love a good professional baseball game. Way to go on going on an actual date. We got a sitter for our anniversary and it was so refreshing! (Until we walked in and the babysitter was upstairs trying to rock two wailing babies back to sleep.) But, it was still fun!

Date nights are awesome. It benefits everyone: the couple that gets to go out, the babysitter who gets to make a little cash, and the kids who get entertained differently than we could entertain them sometime.

Looks like fun!

What a fun date! I always think it's funny when we go somewhere without our kids, and all of a sudden I'm noticing things that I never noticed before - like the actual game that is going on. It becomes a completely different event.
