First steps and 12 month stats

Brinley had her 12 month check up yesterday, here are the stats:

Height: 28 inches, 16th percentile
Weight: 20 lb 5 oz, 36th percentile.

She is officially old enough and heavy enough to sit in a front facing car seat but since she's so short she still fits nicely in her rear facing carrier so we'll probably leave her in there as long as she's happy.

She also had yet another ear infection at her appointment but is scheduled to have her eartube surgery next week so we're definitely ready for some relief in that area!

She's saying a few words now, including Mommy, Dada, Eya (Teya) Da (Dog), No, dont! baby, and Mo (more)

Also in the exciting milestone category, she took her first steps yesterday. She's still very wobbly and I'm sure won't really be walking for awhile, but she's on her way. Here's a little clip of some of her first steps.

I love the video of her walking! Too cute...she is such a happy girl. That will be nice to have her ear infections get some relief, but I am sure it is not fun to have to worry about the tubes going in either...hopefully everything goes well and let us know if you need anything!

Too cute. Good luck with the ear surgery. It will go great I am sure. Hopefully as quickly as Jacob's!

Way to go Brinley! Those chubby little legs and beautiful beaming smile remind me of someone else I remember from about 28 years ago. Love those memories!

Hugs and Kisses!

Ear tube surgery? How invasive is that? You don't sound too concerned so that's good!

Maybe now that she's walking you will be able to get some of your "laps" chasing her around the house rather than out on the roads!

Love, Chris

Way to go Brinley on the walking! She is such a cutie. Sorry about the ears. Hopefully the tubes will get it all under control.

I cannot wait until the twins are old enough to be in forward facing car seats. Kai screams his head off because he can't see me. He is such a mama's boy. Only four more months and I am sure he is already heavy enough right now!

woo-hoo for first steps!
I can't believe how tiny she is...especially to be walking that tiny! Good for her!

That is such a FUN stage! I love those wobbly legs! And could her smile be any bigger? Too cute!
Hope the tubes help her ear problems. Good luck!

So cute! I love the walking video, espcially how she's holding the remote control while she walks - Henry always stands up better when he's focusing on something he's holding. So far he's only taken one step, though.
