Teya turned 2 this week and we got to have a very fun and special celebration with her best friend Aspen, who also turned 2 on the same day. Aspen is the daughter of Taber's best friend, Nathan, who he's known since elementary school. Taber and Nathan grew up together, went to high school together, roomed together in college before their missions, roomed together after their missions, and then lived in the same apartment complex after they got married. So I guess it was meant to be that their wives would give birth to daughters on the exact same day.
For the big birthday bash we flew up to Michigan and had a twinner party with a pink and brown theme. The girls wore pink dresses and ate pink and brown ice cream cake, pink rice crispy treats, and pink and brown chocolate dipped pretzels. It was so much fun to see them together and see how much they love each other even though this was only the 2nd time they've ever met. They are very sweet and special girls and I hope that no matter where we live, they'll always have their special connection.

Wow- that is awesome that you guys went up there! Teya is getting so big! I remember when you guys brought her to our house when she was just two weeks old! Time flies.
(p.s.- we blew up our mattress for FHE tonight. Callie LOVED it. Thanks for the idea!)
What a cool story! Happy Birthday Teya!
Those are the most ADORABLE pictures! They look professional. The party sounds fun and how I love brown and pink!
So cute! I Iove the pictures! She is such a beautiful girl! She definitely gets it from you! Happy Birthday to Teya! What a sweetheart!
What a fun thing to do! I can't believe she's two already. I keep thinking it was just last summer that you guys were here and she was just a little baby, but I guess it's been almost two years - crazy.
It looks like the party was super fun. I zoomed in on the pictures, and the pretzel sticks look amazing. Did you make those?
What a great relationship to carry on! My best friend and I had our first sons one week apart. They are 10 now and the BEST of buddies! I hope Teya and Aspen get to do the same. As parents, it's so fun for us to watch them have the same interests, etc. Happy Birthday to that beautiful little girl!!
How fun is that! Happy 2nd Birthday Teya, looks like you had a blast! Love you guys, take care! Love and aloha, The Lams ;o)
Joanne, I wish I could take credit for the pretzel sticks, but they were made by Aspen's mom. She's pretty crafty with stuff like that, they looked and tasted amazing!
Happy B-day to your baby Teya! She looks like her twinner friend! So cute to celebrate together. Our babies at 2 don't seem like they should be called babies any more, but they still are our babies, right? ... until you deliver your next one. :)
