So today I was craving chocolate sweetness and when I raided my cupboards to see what was available all I could find was some chocolate cake mix. I wasn't really in the mood for cake, so I called my sister to see what I could make and she gave me this YUMM-A-LICIOUS homemade Oreo recipe that you make with cake mix! The recipe is super easy and so so tasty! I made it when Teya was sleeping but it would be a really fun recipe to make with kids because you roll the dough into little balls and it feels like rolling play-doh, plus, you get to frost the middle and what kid wouldn't love that? the recipe. My sister makes them with German Chocolate cake mix and she swears by that, this recipe calls for Devils food cake but I just had regular chocolate cake mix and they came out awesome. I think basically any chocolate cake mix will do the trick. Anyways, I'm off to go indulge in more Oreo heaven! Mmmmm....so good!

Becca, I was on Rett and Mer's blog tonight and I saw a link to you and Taber's blog. It's so fun to see pictures of you guys! Where are you guys right now? Is Taber still on his first rotation? And I didn't know you knew Joseph Draschil. I am really, really close friends with several of his sisters. I just wish now that I had some of those yummy cookies!
I love these cookies! I have that same recipe, but I don't think I've made them since Tristan was a baby, and then I ate pretty much the whole batch because Daniel's not much of a cookie guy.
But that wasn't fair for you to post those pictures when there might be pregnant people who read your blog and then suddenly realize that they are really, really craving these but don't have any chocolate cake mix or eggs or cream cheese in the house.

Yum! I want some. My sis in law makes some that look like these, but she calls them "cow patties" ha ha. I like oreo's better.
So Becca, last time I took your advice on trying the apple, and that did not disappoint! So I'm going to make these this weekend! But did you make your own icing? ANd also do you make tiny marble balls, or big marble balls?! Thanks! :)
