New Uncle, New Foodie Finds, New Year.

A few days after Christmas we got more visitors! Taber's sister Regan and her fiance Corwin flew in from AZ to celebrate the New Year with us. It was our time first meeting Uncle Corwin.

For the kids it was love at first sight.
(Teya is already giving him bunny ears, a sign of true endearing affection)
And Cam would just back right into his lap and snuggle like they were old buds.

While they were here we took them to the zoo.

Uncle Corwin bought a Buffalo hat.
Few people can pull of a furry hat with horns, but Corwin is definitely one who can.

It was awesome for Taber and Regan to have some brother/sister time.

We hit up Giordano's to try some of their famous Chicago style stuffed crust pizza.
(apparently it is a foodie's paradise)

 It was life changingly awesome.
(Also be warned, if you ever order this pizza don't naively think you can eat several slices like you might do with ordinary pizza. One slice will stuff your gut! We ordered 2 pizzas and had TONS of leftovers!)

We spent an evening at Chuck E Cheese. Kids and grown ups both had a good time.

On New Years Eve we decided to party by ordering some take out. We couldn't decide between Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Noodles and Company, so we just got both. We ate enough to feed a small country. It was glorious.

 Nom Nom Nom!

At a time we appointed to be midnight, we let the kids ring in the New Year by banging on pots and pans and screaming "Happy New Year!!" Cam drummed on the lids with silverware. It was noisy. And very celebratory. A good start to 2013.

Once the kids were in bed we stayed up watching the New Year's Eve countdown in Times Square, playing Settlers of Catan, dancing Gangham style, and stuffing our faces with ice cream and chocolate.

At midnight we kissed our sweethearts to ring in the New Year!

It was awesome having Regan and Corwin come out and we can't wait to see them again at their wedding this summer :)

"At a time we appointed to be midnight" haha! We let the kids watch the ball drop on the 10 o'clock news. This was a dangerous post, I'm gonna be thinking about that Chicago style pizza all day! :)
