Sometimes thoughtful words are the best gift you can give, so if you know Taber please take a minute to leave a birthday comment with a favorite memory or something you admire about him. I'll start!Favorite Memory: There are way too many to pick just one, so here are 5.
1) When you busted out your guitar and sang LaBamba in front of our entire Spanish conversation class in Mexico. I knew there was no resisting you after that : )
2) Laying on the sand, reading Harry Potter and Into Thin Air on Waikiki beach on Christmas day on our honeymoon.
3)When we directed the Road Show together in Moorpark. It was awesome watching you shine as a great leader to the youth.
3) When we got to go back and visit your mission together in San Diego and you got SO excited about eating at the BBQ pit. That was when I first started to understand your passion/obsession for BBQ : )
4) When you were chosen for the Haws scholar at the end of business school. I was beaming and so proud of you.
5) Finding out we were pregnant with each of our kids. And the moment each of them was born. Best memories ever : )
Something I admire about you:
Well I've done several posts before about the things I admire about you, but I will add that lately I admire the way you make such an effort to put spending time with the family at the top of your priority list. I know it's hard with everything else you have going on but I know that the kids and I appreciate how you put off other things to put us first. I love you babe and hope you have the best birthday ever!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TABER!!!!!
One of my favorite memories is when we went to the cabin in the smokey mountains or whatever.... you know the place... lol... me and you were cracking up playing air hockey... you finally got to whitness my competitive side first hand...boooyaaaa.... it was super fun when me becca and sarah were telling secrets on the bunk bed while you just sat there... thinking we were all crazy.... oh good times!!!! happy b-day bro... YOU ROCK!!!!
Happy birthday Taber!
There have been many fun memories over the years, from you guys living with us in Orem, to game nights in Pleasant Grove, hanging out with your fam in CO.
I also admire you for your consistent work ethic, your desire to get some solid education under your belt early on, your financial responsibility and avoidance of debt, and the dedication that you have to your wife and kids.
You and Bec have been such GREAT examples and inspiration to me and Rae in our journey to be financially free. Seeing you enjoy the benefits of that dedication helps us to stay focused and remain committed to that long-term goal!
You are one of the rare men in the world: well balanced, business savvy, hard working, family focused and fit athlete.
Keep it rockin' bro.
Love,
Ro
Taber is an amazing brother-in-law, father, and husband. I have always admired his love for his family and the way he silently shares his testimony through example everyday. There are so many good memories I could share, but a more recent one is the last time I went to visit Becca in MN. Taber had just gotten home from a long day at work, but with a smile on his face pushed Becca and I out the door to go enjoy a late movie and some good eats. For the rest of the week we went out every night to do something fun and left the kids with him. He never complained or made us feel bad. He showered us with complements and sent us on our way. Taber is always lifting people up, putting them first, looking for ways to serve. I wonder if he knows how much he helped me that week. He gave me a break from being a mommy and reminded me that I am still my own person too. I can always count on the Riggs to help refill my oil lamp.
Thanks Taber. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Love ya!
I really don't know about all this talk about Taber on his birthday! I seem to remember... that cute little bottom when he was born, the intense "go for it" attitude when trying to do something... the tree house and swinging from the trees, snow slids and snow caves, running like Forest Gump at Dimond High meets... skiing at Kincaid Park in super cold times, and of course hanging on to the door knobs or stair rails or anything to keep from getting in the car and going to Church... was that really Taber doing those things? Yes, and getting the 100 Below for sleeping in a tent or snow cave when the temp was way below Zero! Then BYU and a Mission and such a super spiritual son... sets such a great example in EVERYTHING he ever does or ever did! Taber, we love you... you are a very special most dedicated son, father, brother, husband... and then some! Love always... Daddy

He didn't actually say Taber but he would of if he knew him. U da man Taber. Have great b day bro.
The best kind of friends are the ones that inspire you to do more and be better. That's Taber in many ways, but my favorite is probably how he magnifies his role as a father. He loves it and it shows in his daily interactions.
One of my favorite stories is Taber driving to McDonald's at lunchtime so he could do FaceTime video chat with his girls. Not browse the web, twitter or facebook. Video chat with his girls.
Happy birthday, Taber!
Happy Birthday Taber,
We may not be family, but we want to wish you happy b-day too! You all were only here for a few years, but my boys still remember Brother Rigg as an awesome YM leader. There is some serious talk around here to outdo you next year building an igloo. (May be kind of hard, seeing as how the most snow we ever get is about 4 inches at a time!)
You also had a rockin' b-day party here, that we all remember with great delight. There was some serious competition in the bouncy house!
I remember how Taber always made everyone feel so great. I remember working with him in MSO to learn all the various dances and he was so positive and outgoing and kind. We all have been better people because we have known Taber. Happy Birthday!
This is Stephan. Taber, you're still the best YM president I've ever served with.... and I've been with SEVEN. You were always enthusiastic and well prepared. I miss you and your family a lot. Happy 40th birthday!!....wait, not yet?
Taber is one of the kindest people I have ever known in my life. No wonder he is such a good match for you, Becca! The two nicest people ever!
Thank you all for your kind words! You all are awesome and made me feel very loved on my birthday. I'll definitely come back and read these comments when I ever need a little boost. I feel very blessed to know so many great people. Thanks again!
