Only problem was when we pulled up, Brinley was sound asleep in her car seat. We pulled her out anyway but she kept right on sleeping. We walked all the down to the peach orchard and still she snoozed away.

So Teya started picking

And Brinley slept
And Teya and I kept picking. She was awesome at finding the most perfect peaches to add to our supply. Soon our box was getting full.

But Brinley kept sleeping.
We reached overflowing point and I was afraid that Brinley was going to miss the whole experience.

Finally she woke up. She looked a little dazed and confused but once she realized where we were and what we were doing she jumped right in.
She picked and picked.

And munched quite a few too!

In the end we had 2 happy little peach pickers and an excellent loot of sweet summer peaches.

Aren't they the cutest peach pickers you ever saw? I thought so too.

When we were done in the orchard we headed back up to the main barn and bought some homemade blueberry donuts fresh off the cooker.
You can almost taste the awesomeness. Mmmm... so good.
After our munchies we visited the goats and the sheep

And then we went back to the barn for ice cream.
(with extra sprinkles, of course.)
The next day Taber grilled up some of the peaches for dessert. He filled the centers with brown sugar and got them all piping hot.
Then I added a little crumble topping and whipped cream. Mmm... peachy perfection.

What a good idea to grill them like that, I would never think of that. Places like that make me homesick. We had a berry farm back in VA where we used to go pick strawberries and you could eat all you could handle while you picked. Loved that place. Those blueberry donuts looked good too, this post is giving me some major sugar cravings!
This post makes me want to go eat some peaches! They look SOOO good! Your girls are too cute for words. I love all of their matching outfits. :)
Yum. I think I'm going to go get some blueberry donuts. Fun family day!
I just have to say that this post has my mouth watering! What would I give for a fresh blueberry donut and some fresh peaches. Yum!!!
Yummy! Looks like a fun family outing! I love it! We just planted a peach tree and I got quite a few peaches last month. Next year it will be much larger and I expect many more... but nothing like an orchard! I'll be trying that grilled peach concoction though! Your girls are too stinkin cute!!!
No way - I can't believe Brinley kept on sleeping for that long. Those peaches look divine. I'm glad she woke up at the end to enjoy all the fun. I hate waking up my kids, so I'm always glad when I'm debating it (because they're going to miss something like this) and they wake up on their own so I don't have to make the decision.
