So I've never really considered myself a master of the domestic arts, espcially when it comes to cooking and decorating. My cooking ranges from bad to mediocre, my decorating has always been sparse and uncoordinated. Well last night we had two other couples over for dinner and I really tried hard to make a nice meal that didn't come from a box or a freezer bag. (see recipe here) It was quite the effort, I even cut my own vegetables! (a big deal for me) As a result I was greatly rewarded with sincere compliments to the chef, ME!
And I'm bragging because it wasnt' like the obligatory, "This taste great" comment that people make after someone has cooked for them. These people were raving about my food! They were "MMMM-ing and Wow-ing all "What About Bob" style over my dinner! It was seriously such a high! Who knew that cooking could be rewarding in more ways than just a satisfying meal! And if that wasn't enough, they also went on and on about how much they liked my decorating! One guy was like, "Wow, I love how you've decorated, I mean really, this is first class!" So right now I'm just feeling a little bit cocky and proud of myself and had to take a moment to brag. : )

You're so funny Becca! The casserole looks yummy though, I think I'll have to try it some time. And your living room looks super cute! I need some help in that department!!

Nice job, Becca! Your place does look super cool. And now that I know that casserole is delish, I think I'll try it too b/c it's loaded with veggies!
From all the wonderful comments, I wanna taste it :). It looks yummy. I like your decorating too. I'm always watching HGTV or TLC or Extreme Home Makeover and always imagine what I'd do. First things first though...we need our own place! It was so nice in Utah where we were on our own with our own stuff. I actually cried when we sold our couches...I still miss them. Well, this I guess is the price you pay to live in paradise.
