On our drive home from Yellowstone we took a nice long stop at Mt. Rushmore to eat lunch and check out the museum.
A nice guy saw me taking pics of Taber and the kids and offered to take one of the whole family. I love nice people like that.
It was cool seeing such a famous landmark in person and learning about the history of how it was made.
Another nice person took a pic of the whole fam. There's a lot of nice people at Mt. Rushmore.
Taber bought the girls these adorable Rushmore ranger hats, which at the time felt like a bit of a splurge, but since then they've worn them on every camping trip and outdoor adventure we've had so I'm super glad he got them.
It was a great little pit stop. We had buffalo burgers at the Rushmore cafe and let the kids run around and burn off some energy. And now I can cross off Mt. Rushmore from my bucket list of famous sites I need to see :)

I absolutely love all the posts you have been doing! You have an adorable family and it looks like that will be a vacation to remember. Glad you've had some time to post again. I needed my Rigg fix ;)

This was like, the most epic road trip ever. You Riggs know how to cram in the fun! Mount Rushmore is pretty cool...we stopped there on our way to a reunion when Miley was 6 weeks old, and while there were lots of nice people, I also distinctly remember one woman coming up and commenting on my cute new baby, and then shockingly saying "And you are expecting AGAIN???" Yeah, not so nice. But overall a fun place!! ;)
This is just like our trip last year when we did Mt. Rushmore on our way home from Yellowstone. Awesome! I love your shirt - you look beautiful. And I love the girls in their fancy hats. And I love the family pic of all of you in front of the faces - somehow we missed that close-up vies, even though we walked along the trail. I guess we need to go back.
What a fun adventure your family had! Always wanted to go to Yellowstone. Pictures are gorgeous! Now I have to definitely make this a priority one vacation must see for me and Dad. Poor little Cam. I think I would have a meltdown too. I don't do well waiting for a long time in the heat. Love the girls hats! Reminds me of Papa Riggs Hat. Hugs and Loves! Thanks for sharing!
