Bedfellows

A mother's bed is never her own. (Well, at least this mother's bed)
Lately I've been sharing it quite a bit with these two hooligans.

Cam has stopped sleeping through the night thanks to those darling teeth that have been coming through. So he ends up in there to comfort nurse.

And ever since Brinley potty trained she wakes up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and then crawls into bed with us. I'm usually too tired to protest so she'll sleep in there till Cam gets up and then it's just one big bed party.

Oh and the fuzz ball in the top left corner has also staked out his own plot of territory.
Makes for a pretty full bed sometimes.
I'm sure when they're all grown up I won't look back and wish I had kicked them out though.
Being pushed to the edge is worth it when I get to have such adorable little bedfellows : )

Hahaha! You are way nicer than me. I went through the same phase with B and L but wouldn't let them stay for more than 5 minutes. I needed sleep too! Hehe...anyway, I hope you guys are planning on getting a king size bed pretty soon :)

Yeah I hear ya Hil! I should've added, "and this is why I have permanent black circles under my eyes" ; )

Oh and Naomi we totally did upgrade to a King last year but those bedhogs sprawl so much we still end up being pushed to the edges. ; )

I was gonna say, aren't you glad you got a king? But yeah, seriously, kids just sprawl out so you are hanging off the edge. Pretty cute little people to have in your bed though. I definitely don't get any sleep with Miley in our bed (probably because she sits there and tries to talk to us the whole time!), so kudos to you for getting sleep! :)

SO SO cute...because it's not my bed! Ha!
I used to let Anna last 2 minutes and then I walked her back to her bed. (I think it's because I sprawl too. Ha!).
And Katie-who has REFUSED to ever sleep with us even when I wanted her to as a newborn just so I could sleep longer- dozed off with me for the first time while I was in St Louis...on a SINGLE bed. I thought about crawling her pack-n-play to finish my sleep.

Yeah that wouldn't fly around our house! Dave doesn't allow any kids in bed with us ever.

Precious moments to be cherished! I know I don't look back and regret all of the family bed parties. They are moments I miss and cherish. What cuties!

Cute little pictures! Our poor kids are too scared of Justin to even try! haha it's kind of sad and awesome at the same time. Well, except for Kyle... he does end up in our bed at some point in the wee hours of the morning.
And hey good for Brinley waking up to go pee, seriously. Jarom has been potty trained for over a year but he still pees in his pull up every night. The kid just doesn't feel it coming when he sleeps. Justin is beyond frustrated but we don't know what to do except make him pee before bed and cut drinks before bed... but it's not helping. So yeah, be glad she wakes up and you don't have to fork out like 50 cents every single not for her to pee on! haha

You are so nice to let the cuddle up with you - I like my babies to sleep with me sometimes, but that's about all I can handle. I love that last pic of Brinley and Cam with their heads together - so cute.

Also, this is completely unrelated, but I have been thinking of you all day because we're in Minneapolis today, and we even went to the Mall of America place, and I remembered you saying how awesome it was on your blog. You were right - our kids loved it. I wish you hadn't moved away and we could have visited you.

Yeah we would love to have Micah in our bed once in a while but he just doesn't like it. He has to have his own space. But we let Noa come and stay every once in a while. It's hard to say no to those faces. Hope Cam's teething gets better...good luck.
