Last Friday my sweet friends Darby and Stephanie threw me a baby shower. When I walked in and saw all the brown and blue decorations I was seriously giddy. LITTLE BOY STUFF IS SOOOO CUTE!!! At least it is to me, after being surrounded by pink ponies, mermaids, fairies and princesses the last 5 years. ; )
Darby made this adorable diaper wreath. It's so dang cute I couldn't bear to take it apart so for now it's hanging up in baby boy's room.
Stephanie made this awesome diaper cake with all kinds of goodies like binkies, bottles, tiny shoesies and little socks hidden in there.

And an amazing spread of breakfast foods like homemade scones, an egg and sausage casserole, fresh fruit, sticky cinnamon buns, and candied bacon. So yummy!

It was a great night of food and friends, and so much fun opening little boy presents.
My friend Laura made him the coolest little pirate blanket that was wrapped in this box. Referring to my Halloween costume she wrote, "Fer the buried treasure within the pirates booty! argh!" So awesome, cute and creative!

When I came home with all the little man clothes and boy stuff (hello first Tonka truck!!) Taber was SO excited. Every time he'd see an outfit that was particularly "manly" he would say, "Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!"
I'm so happy our little guy decided to stay in so I could go to my baby shower. Today I saw my doctor and I was dilated to 4cm and 80% effaced. She said this baby is ready to come and he'll probably come fast. She scheduled an induction for Thursday morning so in 3 days or less, we'll finally get to meet him! Can't wait!

Seeing all that little boy stuff is getting me excited too! I can't believe that 1) you are walking aroun 4 cm dialated...I would be FREAKING out! and 2) that you are going to have him in THREE days!! Good luck good luck and I can't wait to hear all the details!
yay for being more than 1/3 of the way done BEFORE going to the hospital! lovin' that! :) so excited for you to cross over to the boy side of life. we have been LOVING it so far. and, i had to smile...i just bought JP those two cute outfits...the black jacket and red tie and the train one. :) good luck!
Four centimeters?!?! I can't believe you're not in labor yet! Wow, you are so lucky you have a body that actually likes to let your babies be born and not try to trap them in there forever. ;) That's awesome, it is totally going to be fast once those contractions start.

Yay!!!! Baby showers are soooo fun! I love the diaper wreath & cake!!!! I love all the little man clothes! Girls are fun, but there really is something so SWEET about boys!! You've got awesome friends wherever you go!! So excited for you! It's going to go by soo quick before you know it you'll be cuddling your handsome little guy!
What a fun shower! I love all the manly clothes. I think my favorite is the little ties. Church is the one place that you can dress them up...other than that they're mostly in t-shirt and shorts. Good luck with the labor and delivery!

Whoa! Look at that spread of food and gifts! Yay for little boys!!! You know I totes would have been at that shower, if not for having been giving birth myself the night before. Hurray for Big Baby being almost here!!
