Last night was our annual pumpkin carving night. The girls are still too young to carve themselves but that didn't stop them from being front and center for all the carving action.
This shot was taken after Taber got the first lid off. I'm cracking up over Teya's new picture pose, cheek to shoulder with a head tilt. You'll see it again at the end of the post. She thinks it's like the ultimate way to look beautiful for picture taking.
And yes, Brinley is wearing wings and Teya is sporting a crown. They are as girly as it gets. I hope baby brother can survive the princess/fairy overload around here!
Teya grabbed the camera and took one of me. I'm glad there is proof that I was there for the carving too. ; ) I carved the kitty pumpkin and Taber did "Big Bertha" (the name Teya bestowed on our big pumpkin)
The girly girls thought the pumpkin guts were super disgusting. Teya was squealing and plugging her nose.
Finally I got them some kitchen gloves and they got brave enough to stick their hands in and dig out some seeds.
Geting the seeds ready for cooking. YUM!

How fun! I love your kitty cat one! I might just have to copy! (hope you don't mind) haha!
Nicely done Rigg family, looks like fun. I wish we had a porch...hahaha.
Cute pumpkins! And I LOVE the "pretty" pose. Kids crack me up when they start really posing for pictures...it's adorable. Your girls need to be around to rub off some of their girliness on Miley...I am afraid that my chances of having a girly girl are slipping thru my fingers! :)
Very cute! Love Teya's pose!
Whoa you guys are good carvers! Love the girly girls. I think she's right about the head tilt!
Very creative- I like it! You will have to get your little boy some "manly" dress ups. Dave forced me to get them after the boys starting wearing wings and necklaces!
hahaha! that pic where teya is plugging her nose, brinley's face is hilarious! such cute pics!
loves,
auntie regan
Love the pumpkins and LOVE Teya's new pose! She is such a little Becca!
I am dying over Teya's new pose! I love, love when kids get an idea in their mind of how something looks, and insist on posing that way over and over again - so cute (and she's actually right - she does look beautiful; sheesh, that hair!)
Anyway, also love the squealing over the gross guts. It is always a huge test of bravery at our house to see who will be brave enough to reach inside.
