Okay, if I'm really being honest I haven't been the best at exercising or watching what I eat for the last 6 weeks or so. I've been having a ton of early contractions with this baby and every time I exercise I have them so I backed off (more like quit cold turkey) and now I fee like I'm turning into a slug. I think I need to try again to do something, maybe just really low key walking. I still have 4 months to go and if I don't get moving all my muscles will have atrophied by the time the baby gets here! So yeah, that's my goal for this coming month, move my body and stop using my mouth as a garbage disposal for junk food : )
There is one thing I DO love about my basketball belly though, now everyone who sees me knows I'm pregnant. I LOVE how people are so much nicer to me at the store, the mall, restaurants, schools, church, wherever! People just see the belly and smile. In fact, today I was pulled over by a cop for not having my state inspection sticker but when he saw my belly he just gave me a knowing smile and said, "I'm not going to give you a ticket this time, just go get that taken care of okay?" Moments like that make carrying around 20 extra pounds totally worth it : )

You look great, girlfriend!
There will be plenty of time to exercise afterward. I promise!
I also pretty much put exercise on a backburner when pg. with Katie because of pressure and crazy varicose veins that I've never had before. Sure enough, now that she's here, it's allgood again :)
You look so cute! If you're having all the contractions, DON'T EXERCISE! It's not worth it. Trust me. Maybe you're like me. Even though I had preterm labor with my first two, by the third, my uterus was so irritable I really had to be careful and take it easy. She still came 5 weeks early. I know it's hard to feel sluggish and watch your body go, but it's more important to keep that baby in as long as possible. love ya!
Bec I don't know what you're talking about, you are the cutest pregnant lady ever. You look great. I wish pregnancy got that kind of attention in Utah. We just get the "another pregnant person?!" look. Oh well.
You look awesome! Seriously...I know I say this everytime, but I hope I look that good in a few weeks! Oh man and cake-pops, and all that other stuff you mentioned?? I am drooling...and way to get out of a ticket! Maybe I should have a fake belly in the car at all times for when I am not pregnant to see if that works for me. :)
Dang I should have shoved a basketball under my belly when I got pulled over on Monday! Note to self - Get pregnant quickly, or carry around an extra basketball :) You look great, and good job listening to your body when you work out. You can get moving but it's just as important to be "in tune" with what your body is telling you.
I hear ya on the exercise thing, I was doing pretty good until my stupid sciatic nerve went haywire and now if I do too much standing or walking or anything I can't move the next day! I have also been having crazy early contractions this time around so I am not able to get anything done without taking a "timeout" halfway through...good thing Blake is tall enough and proficient enough to do dishes now!
You look awesome! I have a hard time exercising during my pregnancies also--especially the later ones! But I did a pregnancy yoga video with Wyatt that was low impact and I felt like at least helped me keep a little muscle tone! And just remember you only get to be pregnant a few times in your life--eat whatever you want!
so cute! Have you tried prenatal yoga? It's super low key and just gets you stretching.(which will help with the delivery) GIAM makes a great DVD available at target. Love Love Love it.
I can NOT believe you got out of that ticket! Ridiculous! Anyway, you look fabulous in the pic. The photographer must have been both awesome and attractive in order to get the picture so straight. Good luck with your new goals and hopefully the videos I brought out for you will help! Love ya!
Yeah, I don't think it was the belly that got you out of the ticket, it was just you. :) No one ever gives me special treatment when I'm prego, except maybe for trying to stuff me with extra food, which is never good.
Anyway, you seriously are so cute and tiny! Don't even worry about the exercise if you're having contractions. You look great and you know you're gonna be running again after baby so if you do gain extra, it's gonna come off!
I love your basketball belly! I have been horrible at taking pictures of my belly progress this pregnancy - I guess I probably should before she actually comes. And don't sweat the not exercising/eating junk - that's how I've been operating this whole pregnancy. I second the pregnancy yoga, though - I did it all through Henry's pregnancy, and felt like it made a huge difference, so I've been doing it again for this one (though not as much as I would have liked). I do Bikram yoga - his wife makes a pregnancy dvd. Love it.
oh my gosh! All these teeny tiny pregnant women! You look AMAZING! You at 24 weeks looks like me when I'm only 8 weeks! Maybe I should get into running too! Just amazing!
I'm so out of the loop and I know I'm way behind, but congratulations Becca!!! Another gorgeous Rigg baby is on its way. :) Do you know what you're having? Btw, you don't need to run or exercise, you look amazingly beautiful! Tell Taber I said hello!
You look great Becca! I told Dave that you need to get your little pregnant self on that plane with Taber next week. We are taking him up to the cabin- come on, just do it!!!
OMG - you look sooo cute, Becca!!! I love your basketball belly :)
Haha, I've got a bigger belly than you and I'm only 20 weeks! You look amazing and you will never regret starting off your pregnancy with such a healthy body. I say live it up when you're pregnant! Baby Rigg needs those cake pops. You don't want him to wither away, do you? And anyway what's the point of trying to lose weight when your body is fighting against you? I suppose that's the sort of attitude that has gotten me into trouble, however.
