Yesterday I was warming up some soup for lunch in the microwave. When it was finished and the microwave started beeping, Teya ran into the kitchen and announced, "Dinner's Ready!"
I guess I still have a long way to go if my daughter thinks the sound of the microwave means dinner is ready! It probably doesn't help that with all my pregnancy cravings, I'm sure she thinks the only reason we have an oven is for cookies and cake! I better hit the cookbooks and start figuring out more ways to prepare dinner that don't involve a microwave! : )

That makes two of us! I'm trying to be better too. Do you have a crockpot? Those things are the best, and you don't really even have to do anything! They have awesome cookbooks for them too. Way easy.
PS I tagged you on my blog!
That's so funny! I know what you mean though. I cook, but not anything fantastic. We're always trying ward recipe exchanges or cookbooks, or ward blog recipe exchanges. I get a few good ones here and there. Not that people don't give out good recipes, I just mean ones that my whole family will eat are tricky. I feel like I'd love to serve my hubby something a little more exciting than tuna casserole. luckily, he doesn't complain. The kids always complain when I try something new so it's frustrating! You may want to do it now before Teya gets too opinionated about what's put in front of her.
This is surprising, because from everything I've seen out of you, you are amazingly talented and proficient. Nice to know SOME things are a bit of a challenge for you. :)j/k Knowing you, if you've set your mind to it, you'll be "Becca the Baker" in no time!
that is so cute! i think our first year married, we ate out cause most of the time i just didn't feel like cooking. takes a lot to think of something, get the ingredients, and actually take the time to make it.
